You can't trust Paul's writing!!

I will quote your own words "Don't let satan fool you into thinking that just because you have accepted christ as your savior you can take your own life and good will welcome you. Read romans 3:28. If you believe in the books of paul you are lying to your self. The books of paul are lies so your on the right track. romans 3:28 is not in agreement with the parables of Jesus Christ in the synoptic gospels of Mathew,Mark and Luke. Paul contradicts himself about boasting of doing good works. Read 1 cor 15:10 then read eph 2:8,9. Mathew 7:18-20 is a warning about those who preach pauls words. I Believed in the roman catholic church because I thought Simon Peter really was its rock as Jesus had said. I now go on record as saying that the roman catholic church is not the church Jesus Christ endorses because the roman catholic church is now heavily under the infleunce of paul. I pray that you concentrate your search on the parables of Jesus Christ by reading the synoptic gospels Mark, Mathew, Luke and the books of James and Peter. paul was not one of the original disciples of Jesus Christ and is actually satans first attempt to confuse about the teachings of Jesus Christ. Take all of your quotes from paul off of your site (This includes the hebrews quote) and load it up with quotes from the books of Jesus Christs original disciples with emphasis on the parables of Christ. Another book that I like is The book of Isiah. I am not attacking you personally. If upon review of these New Testament books Mathew, Mark, Luke, James, Peter and the book of Iasiah you do not agree with me that is your preception. Read the original disciples books and Isiah and you will see why paul is regarded as the rival of Simon Peter and James. I would think that if paul was really a messenger of Jesus Christ then paul would be in agreement with Simon Peter and James. Read and reread the parables of Jesus Christ. Thank you for your time, peace my friend

My response is in Green:

I guess your opinion of Jesus is pretty low. I say that because you believe that He was not able to keep the Scriptures pure. You believe that Satan was able to write almost half of the New Testament. You also believe that Satan was able to fool Peter and the other 10 Apostles. You said I should look and see if Paul's writings agree with the gospels and Peter and James. Well maybe you have not read Peter very well. What about this passage: (2 Peter 3:15-16 NIV) Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. {16} He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Notice that Peter equates Paul's letters with 'other' Scriptures. He also says that Paul writes with the wisdom that God gave him. That pretty much blows your theory out of the water.

The Scripture you gave me does nothing to change my mind. (Romans 3:28 NIV) For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. Okay what is your point? We are justified by faith apart from observing the law. Are you trying to say that a person can take their own life and still be welcomed into heaven? Maybe but you never bothered to make that point and this verse has nothing to do with the point. Just because we are justified by faith not works does not mean that after salvation we can go do anything we want. In fact I think it proves my point, if you later turn from that faith you have turned your back on salvation.

The next passage you use is this: (1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV) But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. For one you took it out of context, but even if you didn't Paul is boasting on God's grace not his good works. There is a difference, he clearly states that it was God's grace that allowed him to work hard.

Next: (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- {9} not by works, so that no one can boast. What is your point? Paul agrees with the rest of the Bible that it is not works that gets us into heaven, it is God's grace through our faith.

Your next passage is: (Matthew 7:18-20 NIV) A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. {19} Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. {20} Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. I am sorry but I view this as being a ridiculous argument. Are you trying to say that Paul's fruit was bad therefore he was not a true believer? So let me get this right; Peter claims that Paul's writings are on the same level as other Scripture, that Paul is writing with the wisdom God gave him, yet you believe Paul was a messenger of Satan and was not even a true believer?

As for me, I will place my trust in God. I believe that He preserved His word so that we can be confident today that we know what it says and what it means. I also believe when we look at the new Temple in the Kingdom to come one of the twelve Apostles' names on the foundation will be Paul's name.

Nothing in Paul's writings contradict anything in the rest of the Bible. God's word is consistent.
