At some point everyone will be saved.

At some point everyone will be saved. No body will remain in hell for ever. God has sympathy for all, nomatter what is done. If everyone had a chance to see the truth of god then everyone would see the hand that they are looking for. Some will say that there are only a special few, but in the end we are all the same. We all have a light, just some can't find, but one day everyone will see. The creator of all will give everyone a chance even after they pass away, and of course once you are dead and shown, nobody will turn away.

My response is in Green:

What you said sounds good. The only problem is that it is not true. God does love everyone and He does give everyone the chance to accept His free gift of salvation by repenting of their sins and making Jesus Christ Lord and Master of their lives, but this has to be done before they die.

God is merciful and loving, but He is also just and His holy nature demands justice. That is exactly why Jesus came to earth as a human and died in our place, because God loves us and yet there had to be payment for our sins.

You claim that no one will spend eternity in hell. Well God says there will be lots of people who do just that. (Matthew 25:41 NIV) "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."' Notice that the eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels but it will also be the place where humans who do not repent will spend eternity.

(Matthew 7:13-14 NIV) "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. {14} But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Again notice that Jesus says many will go to destruction. These statements from God's word deny the claim you are making.

Don't let the devil convince you that there will be another chance after you are dead. You either choose today to repent and get right with God or you choose not to, but whatever choice you make is the one you will live with for eternity if you die. (Hebrews 9:27 NIV) Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment... After death comes judgment, not another chance.

You are right that God does not want anyone to be lost, but He leaves that choice up to us. That is exactly why He has not destroyed evil yet, but He will. (2 Peter 3:9 NIV) The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. Now is the time to repent before it is too late.
