Thoughts to Ponder

I won't go quietly

If you believe in being politically correct you may want to quit reading right now. The world is at war with Islam, not radical Islam but Islam as a whole. Allah isn't the God of the Bible. I happen to agree with Islam on one point, there is but one God; but that is the God of the Bible not the god of the Koran!

The left claims that Christianity is evil because we teach that homosexuality is a sin, and yet they remain quiet as Islam kills homosexuals! I am tired of hearing about the war on women in the US, while these same people either ignore women being beaten and killed or sold into slavery in Islamic countries, or claim that forcing a woman to wear a burka is honoring her!

Too many Christians are weak kneed and refuse to stand up for what is right. Are we cowards? Homosexuality is a sin! Islam is the worshipping of Satan! A true Christian doesn't sin daily! Our God demands our obedience! Sin will send a person to hell! Women and men are different and they were born that way! I will stop there, but trust me there are many other truths that people seem too afraid to condemn, but fear doesn't change the facts.

For those of you who think I am hateful for stating my beliefs about homosexuality and other sins, let me quote from Penn Jillette, who is a very vocal Atheist, but he gets it. "How much do you have to hate somebody to not proselytize? How much do you have to hate somebody to believe that everlasting life is possible and not tell them that? If I believed beyond a shadow of a doubt that a truck was coming at you and you didn't believe it, and that truck was bearing down on you, there's a certain point where I tackle you. And this is more important than that."

So is it hate or love that causes Christians to speak out? Let me ask it another way. If Christians truly ruled America and they caught two homosexuals in the act what would they do? The simple answer is; tell them that their actions are sinful and then pray for them. Now let's say that Muslims were in charge and they caught two homosexuals in the act, what would they do? Drag them out into the public and stone them, or behead them or hang them! Now ask yourself whom should you hate and fear more; the Christian or the Muslim?

We have a half white President that seems to hate America and its exceptionalism and is trying his best to destroy it. Feel better that I pointed out he is half white? Does that mean I am not really a racist? I could care less what his skin color is, he is part of the human race the only race that counts and he is who he is, that is on him not the person pointing out the obvious!

I read a lot of news sites and I have been struck by something that I have seen over and over again. It isn't that ISIS or some other Islamic group is killing people, which is what they do, get over it. What surprises me is seeing picture after picture of sometimes hundreds of people with their hands bound calmly walking in a group to a ditch so that they can be shot in the head. How did they end up like that? Normally the group with the guns is numbered less than 10 or so while the prisoners are numbered in the tens or even hundreds.

I am not claiming to be some macho fearless individual, but I have been a Marine since 1973 and will remain one until the day I die. I will not go quietly to my death. Death will happen, whether it is violent or peaceful, but that doesn't mean I will calmly accept it by the hands of another. I reject the idea that Christians are to be pacifist. We are to be at peace with all people when possible, but that doesn't mean we don't save those who are perishing around us including ourselves! We are to fight evil and if that evil happens to be people trying to kill others or us then we must fight it.

Jesus was not a pacifist. Jesus has always been the second person of the triune being we call God. He was God in the Old Testament and He is God in the New Testament and He says of Himself that He never changes. He instructed the Israelites to purge the evil from among them. He commanded death as punishment for many crimes. Yes I know we are no longer under law but rather under grace and we don't put people to death for things like having a bull that is known to gore people and then gores someone to death. But don't for a moment think that means that God has changed.

Our God is a God of love and mercy, but He is also a God who demands that we protect the innocent and resist evil to the best of our ability. Just before His death Jesus told His disciples:

Luke 22:35-37
[35] And He said to them, "When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?" They said, "No, nothing." [36] And He said to them, "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one. [37] For I tell you that this which is written must be fulfilled in Me, 'And He was numbered with transgressors'; for that which refers to Me has its fulfillment."

Not all Germans were bad people, the Nazis were a small group, but the general population stood by and allowed the Nazis to do what they wanted to do. People turned a deaf ear and blind eye to what was happening and it got worse and they still did nothing.

What does this have to do with anything, well everything… If we allow Christians to be silenced because they dare to say homosexuality is a sin and therefore are speaking hate speech, who will stand up to protect those very homosexuals when the Islamist decide they deserve death?

Are all Muslims evil, bloodthirsty savages? Of course not, but it isn't because their religion doesn't teach them to be, it is because they don't closely follow their religion. Look at the Oklahoma beheading that happened a couple weeks ago. At the press conference given by the Police a number of Muslims stood around shouting "Praise Allah". No, they didn't go home that night, get a knife and go behead anyone, but they certainly weren't embarrassed by what happened either!

Christians will remain a hated pariah around the world because we represent Christ, and Satan, the ruler of this world hates Him and therefore us. To paraphrase Penn Jillette, how can we claim to love people if we believe they are on the road to hell and we say nothing? It doesn't matter if their response is to hate us even more.

I don't claim to be brave, I have looked down the business end of a gun and yes my knees were knocking and I could hardly catch my breath, but if I am going to die, I will go down fighting. I will not surrender so that I can be lead to a ditch and shot in the head. I will not kneel calmly so I can be beheaded. It is time to wake up and call the enemy by name and be prepared. It is our duty as Americans and it is our duty as Christians.
