Thoughts to Ponder

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down."
Revelation 12:10

Your Accuser

Imagine this scene; Heaven in front of the Great Throne of God the Father.

Satan (the accuser) stands before the throne, beside him is a holographic representation of you. At the right hand of God the Father sits Jesus Christ (the Lamb who was slain for our sins).

Satan says, "I have a list of sins committed by (you), pages and pages of them in fact. This person has cheated, lied, coveted, lusted, committed adultery, killed, used your name in vain, been a drunkard, been a stumbling block to others ..."

At each mention of a sin, Jesus stands, holds His nail scarred hands in the air and says, "Father, I paid for that sin." "Father, I canceled that debt." "Father, I covered that with my blood." "Father, all this person's sins have been paid in full."

God the Father speaks, "I see no sin in this person, only the image of my beloved Son. This person is as pure and holy as my Son. Accuse this person no more of these sins for they do not exist!"

This is what Jesus has done for us. He paid our debt in full on the cross. He now intercedes for us to God the Father. Satan still accuses us but those past sins which we have confessed and asked forgiveness for no longer exist in God's eyes, because Jesus has washed us in His blood and made us white as snow.

If you have not been washed with Jesus' blood, by asking Him to be your Savior, then He must sit by while Satan accuses you and then tell His Father that He does not know you. God the Father has to agree with Satan that you are only worthy of judgement for your sins.

When Satan approaches the throne with a list of your sins, will Christ stand and acknowledge you and tell His Father that your sins have been paid in full, or look away and slowly shake His head because He does not know you?
