There is hope!

I have been dealing with MS for over ten years. Sometimes I just get tired of fighting with all of the complications. I have carried this yoke long enough, but instead of ending this life, with the help of my friends I have been learning how to turn this yoke over to the One who can carry it with ease. I am blessed and so very fortunate in so many ways. I became a Christian a couple of years before I started having physical problems and was diagnosed. It's been a long strange trip, but I'm traveling with The Best Companion in the universe. I am especially sensitive about those who struggle with chronic illness, and who have no Savior, no Hope. I can't comprehend how they even get through one day without knowing the reality and the Light that Jesus was, is, and always will be. Thank you and I thank God for the respite I have in this place.

My response is in Green:

If you are one of those people who is living without hope, you need what Kim has. You need Jesus Christ, who is Hope! He will help you carry your burden, He will walk the road with you and never leave you. When no one else understands, He will. When no one else is there for you, He will be.

You may be wondering, how to get Jesus in your life. It is easy, but many people find it hard to do. People want to be victims, to believe that they are good people and have never done anything to deserve punishment. God says that is not true.

We will all have to answer to God someday for the wrong things we have done. These are called sins and we have all done some of them. God is holy and demands death for anyone who sins. (Ezekiel 18:4 NIV) For every living soul belongs to me, the father as well as the son--both alike belong to me. The soul who sins is the one who will die.

That is the bad news, we are all under a death sentence from a Holy God, who can't stand sin and we have all sinned. Now for the good news. God loves us and does not want us to go to hell to be punished for our sins. Because He is Holy He can't just forgive and forget our sins, His Holy nature demands that some one pays for those sins. (John 3:16 NIV) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Here is more good news: (Romans 5:8 NIV) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

So what does this mean to you? It means that if you die without getting right with God you will go to hell for eternity and suffer in punishment for your sins. However, if you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for your sins, and if you confess your sins (admit them to God) and ask Him to forgive you, He will. And if you believe that after He died God the Father raised Him back to life then you will be saved and if you die we will go to be with God. (Romans 10:9 NIV) That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

I won't tel you that your life will instantly change. You will still have struggles and many of the same problems you had before you accepted Jesus as your Savior, but there will be a difference. The difference is that you will never have to face life alone again, and when this life is over you will be with Jesus for eternity. That is when God will set things right. (Revelation 21:4 NIV) He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

One of the struggles many people have is, if God is going to set things right as He promised why doesn't He do it now. That is a great question and God gives us the answer to that too. The first part of the answer goes back to the idea that we have all sinned and therefore are under a death sentence. Now if God gets rid of all the evil in this world, He will have to do it justly, meaning that all sentences would be carried out. So anyone who has not repented and accepted Jesus as their Savior would be killed spiritually in hell. So here is the answer to why God does not go ahead and do what He has promised: (2 Peter 3:9 NIV) The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Make no mistake, that day is coming. It comes sooner for some people, because it comes to us personally the moment we die. Either we have been saved or we are lost at the moment of our death. There are no second chances. So if you want what Kim has you need to get it now. Don't delay. If you are reading this page, it is most likely that your life is not what you want it to be, so what have you got to lose? Only your sinful nature. Yes you will have to leave the sinful lifestyle. You will have to put Christ first in your life, but believe me that is a small price to pay for eternal life. God loves you and wants you to know Him, but He will not force Himself on you. It is your choice.
