Ignorance isn't bliss

God mentions lack of knowledge a couple times in His word:

Isaiah 5:13
Therefore My people go into exile for their lack of knowledge; And their honorable men are famished, And their multitude is parched with thirst.

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Now God is speaking of the knowledge of Him and His word, but don't miss the point, there are consequences for being ignorant.

2 Thessalonians 2
[7] For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. [8] Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; [9] that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, [10] and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. [11] For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, [12] in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

I believe we are seeing some of the deluding influence right now. How often have you heard Islam called the religion of peace? I hear it all the time, but anyone who has any brain at all knows that isn't true, unless they have been deluded.

Islam has been a savage religion from the very beginning.  Christians like to fall all over themselves apologizing for the Crusades, but why? Why did the Crusades occur? The reason was to free the Holy Land from Muslims! As Christians we are supposed to believe God's word, right? Did or did not God give what we call the Holy Land to the Jews? Islam came and took over the Holy Land and the Crusaders went to repel them and take the land back.

The Crusades were wars that were fought by Christians against Muslims. The Turks and other Muslims took control of Jerusalem and the Holy Land in the 11th century. The Muslims wouldn't allow Christians to come to Jerusalem to pray.

Were there horrible things that happened during the Crusades? I have no doubt. Name any war in any generation when horrible acts weren't committed.  I am not condoning the killing of Jews or anyone else who wasn't a combatant, but I am saying that the war itself was to repel the Muslims who had taken control of the Holy Land.

Let me give just a few examples of Muslim aggression.
Year 637: Syria was conquered by Muslim forces and Jerusalem fell to Muslim forces.
654: Muawiya I conquered Cyprus and stationed a large garrison there. The island would remain in Muslim hands until 966.
700: Muslims from Pamntelleria raid the island of Sicily.
711: With the further conquest of Egypt, Spain and North Africa, Islam included all of the Persian Empire and most of the old Roman world under Islamic rule.
715: Just about all of Spain was in Muslim hands.
725: Muslim forces occupied Nimes, France.
I will stop there, but as you see from the beginning Islam has been a warring religion set on conquest.

Being a Marine I have heard the Marine Corps Hymn many times, and I was required to learn Marine Corps history. The words 'from the shores of Tripoli' are in the Marne Corps Hymn and part of Marine Corps history because it was the first foreign war fought by the Marine Corps.

The First Barbary War (1801-1805), also known as the Tripolitan War or the Barbary Coast War, was the first of two wars fought between the United States and the Northwest African Berber Muslim states known collectively as the Barbary States. These were the Ottoman provinces of Tripoli, Algiers, and Tunis, which were enjoying a large autonomy, as well as the independent Sultanate of Morocco. The war was fought because U.S. President Thomas Jefferson refused to pay the high tributes demanded by the Barbary states and because they were seizing American merchant ships and enslaving the crews for high ransoms.

In 1786, while serving as an Ambassador for the new United States, Jefferson asked Tripoli's Ambassador to Great Britain what right the Barbary states had that allowed them to kidnap and slaughter the innocent crews of passing merchant ships.

According to Jefferson, the Ambassador replied that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Qur'an, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman [Muslim] who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise."

Where has this 'religion of peace' been? It never existed!! It has been contained at times and may have even seemed peaceful, until it had the opportunity to violently gain territory again.

Let me pause here to say that not all Muslims are evil, some Muslims, maybe even most Muslims in America aren't evil, but mainly because they aren't 'good' Muslims. By that I mean they are Muslims in name, but don't really know or follow the Koran. Sadly like so many Christians today don't know or follow God's word, yet go by the name Christian.

Let me ask a couple questions. Who would have believed on September 11, 2001 that a teacher would throw a student's Bible in the trash as hateful material, and yet teaches about the Koran? Or a child would be disciplined in school for praying over his lunch? Or that Muslims would be considered victims in America just a few short years later? Or that the beliefs of the majority of terrorist if not all the terrorist would be described over and over again as the religion of peace? That Christian clubs would be thrown off campus, and yet those same campuses would build foot baths for the Muslim students and set aside prayer rooms for them to use?

The words 'separation of church and state' never appear in the Constitution although you wouldn't know that by listening to the secular world. However, even if those words were in the Constitution it would appear that they are only meant to apply to Judeo-Christian beliefs.

How is it that a person like me who claims that God says that homosexuality is a sin, but that He loves the homosexual and wants them to come to repentance, is classified as a hater? At the same time, there is silence while Muslim countries murder homosexuals? People claim Christians are anti-woman, who want to deny a woman the right to kill her unborn child, and yet in the Muslim world a young woman who is raped is often killed because she dishonored her family, and no one says anything?

We have had many honor killings right here in the United States, but they aren't covered as such. They are swept under the rug by being called domestic murders, or abuse. But let a Christian spank their child in public and see what an outrage it will cause.

Children are expelled from school for eating a snack into what could look like a gun. Laws are passed to limit the weapons law abiding citizens can own and use for the protection of themselves and their families. But the Police are not allowed to stop and frisk suspicious persons; that would be wrong. More and more 'gun free zones' appear where guns aren't allowed, except for those who laugh at the law and know their victims will be unarmed.

We hear Black Lives Matter, because a thug attacked someone who fought back and the thug paid with his life. Yet, black on black murder is sky high and you hear almost nothing about it. More black babies are aborted than any other race and the silence is deafening.  "The most obvious practitioner of racism in the United States today is Planned Parenthood, an organization founded by the eugenicist Margaret Sanger and recently documented as ready to accept money to eliminate black babies" - Dr. Alveda King

We have a black President who couldn't have been elected if only blacks had voted for him, telling the world that America remains a racist nation and slavery was often done under the name of Christ. Really? Does he not know that the abolitionist were for the most part white Christians?

A Christian can be forced to make a wedding cake for a homosexual wedding, but a non-Christian can't even be told they have to look at a cross on public land because it might upset them. A student is reprimanded for saying "God bless America" during school announcements because it upset a couple Atheist students.

We have a President who has been elected twice that goes around the world and condemns the very nation that elected him. He seems to support those who hate America and want to harm us, while refusing to help those who stand with us around the world. I have no way of knowing the President's heart, but I can judge his actions and they are anti-American and anti-Christian! Yet I have no doubt that if he could run again he would be re-elected.

We have many terrorist around the world, that label themselves as Islamic, who point to the Koran as the authority by which they wage their religious war and yet this administration continues to claim these aren't real Muslims.

Yes I think the delusion is in full swing.

Our country is dying due to lack of knowledge, both of God and of history.
